Answers to Common Questions

How do I sign up?
Go to the Registration Page and fill out the form. After filling out the registration form, please follow the payment instructions. You can pay online via PayPal or mail a check. Once we've received both your registration information and payment, we'll contact you to schedule your pre-camp evaluation.

What is the Pre Camp Evaluation?
The Optional Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:

1. We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have.

2. We will review your medical history. If you have health concerns which might interfere with your ability to safely participate in camp you will be required to obtain a physician's release.

 

3. We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. The actual measurements (number of inches) don't matter. They are strictly to allow for a post-camp comparison so that you can see how much you improve. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.

4. We will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage. Again, the specific numbers don't matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see a significant reduction in your body fat percentage over the four weeks!

5. You will receive your Welcome Packet and Boot Camp T-shirt. (One per person)

6. See you at camp!

What do I need to bring to camp?
You will need to bring one set of 5 - 8 lb. hand weights and an exercise mat. Running shoes are required. You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens in the winter. Dress in a layered fashion...even if it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!

Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?
They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. We encourage all ability levels, shapes, sizes and ages.

Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control (such as illness or injury), we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date. However we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable. Registering for Adventure Boot Camp should be considered a firm commitment.

What is a typical day like at camp?
There are no typical days! Each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some short distance running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training and jumping rope each week. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We also teach you a great deal about proper form, stretching and safety.

What will I do after camp is over?
You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many (up to 80%) of the campers return for a second or third camp, or even attend camp all year.
